Our Services

  • We provide engineered excavation solutions for homes, camps, additions, and new construction sites. From the first bucket of soil to the final grade, every step is overseen by a Professional Engineer to ensure proper elevations, drainage paths, and structural support.

Our excavation services include foundation digs, grading and leveling, utility trenches, building pads, access roads, and preparation for outbuildings or garages.

  • As a combined engineering + excavation team, we offer a seamless start-to-finish septic system process. Makron Engineering handles all site evaluations, soil testing, engineering, and permitting, while de Jong Excavation performs the full installation with precise adherence to the design.

We specialize in challenging sites, including lakefront properties, seasonal camps, steep slopes, small lots, and Adirondack Park regulated areas.

Systems include conventional septic, alternative treatment systems, raised/engineered beds, tank and distribution box replacements, leach fields, and complete system upgrades.

  • Whether constructing a new driveway or restoring an existing one, we design and install gravel surfaces that shed water properly and remain durable over time.
Services include new driveway construction, resurfacing, parking pads, culvert installation, ditching, swales, and slope correction.

  • Seasonal camp properties and lakefront sites require a unique understanding of the terrain, access limitations, soils, and APA/municipal requirements — and that’s where we excel.

We provide selective clearing, access road construction, foundation excavation, septic design/installation, shoreline-friendly drainage solutions, and site development tailored to tight or steep lots.

  • Proper drainage is essential to protecting foundations, lawns, driveways, shoreline structures, and septic systems. We assess how water moves across your property and install engineered solutions that control runoff and prevent erosion.

Our services include curtain drains, French drains, swales, foundation drains, sump discharge lines, erosion-control matting, and slope stabilization. These systems are especially important for lakefront properties, hillside lots, and areas with chronically wet ground.

  • We prepare properties safely and efficiently for construction, utilities, and site improvements.

Our clearing and trenching services include tree and brush removal, selective cuts, stump removal, utility line trenches (water, sewer, electric), and path creation for new structures or system installations.

  • In addition to excavation and site work, de Jong Excavation offers convenient delivery of farm-fresh screened topsoil and a full selection of stone and sand products sourced from trusted local pits.

We provide two delivery load sizes — 8–9 ton or 20 ton — to accommodate projects of any scale.

  • As part of our land clearing services, we offer homeowners the unique option to turn removed trees into usable, custom-sized lumber. After on-site cutting/clearing and removal from your property, we haul the trees to our farm and process them in our professional wood shop — including milling, cutting, and drying the wood to eliminate insects and bacteria. The result is a clean, stable, professionally milled lumber that’s ready for building projects, furniture, and more.
